hey i have a samsung eternity with a sim card for AT&T, but I am still on my contract
I was wondering if it would be possible for me to buy a iphone and just put my SIM card in it...but I heard something about an IMEI which is like a tracker and they could track me down since I am not using the IMEI that was registered to my eternity...

Is there anyway for me to buy an iPhone from someone that I can use if I put my SIM card in it from my previous phone?

Only the 2G was able to change the IMEI back in the day. There is no way to change the 3G or 3GS.

Yes you can use your SIM but ATT would eventually detect you were using an iphone and slap a data plan on you.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Imei is phone spacific

Here in Australia we can use any phone withany simcard so I don't see why you can't just put your sim in an iPhone :/

Turn around for the tricks has been about 3-4 days. Sometimes users have gotten 2 weeks out of it then kicked back again.

@H3x, the problem here in the states is that ATT requires you to have a iPhone data plan if you have the iPhone; no "if"s "and"s or "but"s about it to them.
