Until recently, my iPhone 3G does not even last a day on STANDBY.

I don't have anything installed that would drain battery power. The most hungry thing I think it could be is categories, but does that drain battery life??

I have disabled Location, push, mail settings, no SSH, no bluetooth... Is my battery dying? I BARELY use my phone to talk, I sometimes just check the internet for less than a half an hour here and there, and it is just dying. Don't play games much, I do have winterboard with Illumine on, but I am using categories so it only has one page.

Bump, not one person out of the thousands here has any clue?

I have the same problem. I disable 3G, WiFi, SSH, and GPS. I also have my brightness at about 25%, disable processes (from SBSettings) and free up my memory.

Just this morning I unplugged it at about 6:45. by 11:45 it was at <25%. I didnt even check so much as a single email either.
