    Ive been using an iPhone off of a family plan with my parents, which has no data, for well over 2 years now.

    But yesterday I got a text from AT&T saying...

    AT&T Free Msg: Did you know a data plan is required for your iPhone? For whatever reason, or records indicate your iPhone did not have the correct plan. We have added the appropriate data plan. Call 611 or go to att.com/iPhoneplans for info.
    I got so pissed when i read that text. Why give me a data plan 2 years late, and without my permission? ITS ******* INSANE.

    I tried calling AT&T to try to change it back, but with no luck. Now i have to get shitty phone, and use that instead so i can change my plan back to what it was before.

    Is there any other way i can fix this problem?

    ummm, it is required that you have a data plan on your iphone, its in your contract(parents contract).

    You are lucky you made it this long without it.

    as soon as you put your sim back in your iphone they will put the data plan back on again...
