my entire itunes liabrary got deleted, and i had to copy all the songs and all the settings that came with them using, I used a program called Tansee iPhone Copy. I used it and it fully worked for me, retrieved all my music, album art and ID3 tags.

    Hope it helps

When you sync an apple product it uses a digital signature on all the files to "lock" them onto the ipod. This is so you can't take your 80gigs of music (or whatever) and upload it to 50 of your closest friends' computers. You will have to use an external hard drive or network your computers and transfer the music from one to the other and then re-sync your iPhone to the new laptop.

Try taking it to a tech and getting a hard drive file extraction. Usually it's only $50 or so...
