I remember using an app called caller id faker, however the ads were annoying.

All I am trying to accomplish is to block my phone number from others caller ID, regardless of the method so long as it's ad free.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Why dont you just hide your caller id from settings?

What do you mean? In settings, under Phone, there is a place to change the phone number but that has no relation to what people see on their caller ID when I call.

I am trying to block my number from showing when I call someone.

Settings>phone> "show my caller ID", switch it to off...

That only restricts the name, not the number. I am trying to restrict both. Essentially, I want my calls to show as unknown.

Ok, so the states operates differently.... What cell provider are you with?

    As I guess *67 doesn't work.....

Yeah, I guess so. Nope, *67 does not work.

I am probably going to be out of luck then, as caller id faker was only able to accomplish the spoofed number through a call redirect.

Yeah, this makes mine come up as blocked / unknown number not just blocking your name.

How would it block your name from showing when this is dependent on what the recipient of the phone call has you stored as on their phone? Your network only sends the number not the name and the recipients phone compares its database and displays the appropriate name

I found that calling another iPhone blocks all info. Calling a land line, which was what I was using to test, still shows the number. So technically, the option does work ... I would assume for all wireless or smart devices.
