I'm considering getting a new iPhone upgrade. I currently use a flip phone. I'm wondering what is the best carrier to jail-break? I'm thinking about using ATAT. Anyone have problems with them from keeping jailbreakers from doing this to their phones?

It doesn't matter what carrier you use.

Ok, cool! I'd thought it didn't matter but I figured I'd ask to make sure.

Ok. By firmware, you mean iOS, right? Sorry, for my ignorance.

If your looking to save some bucks, pretty much any carrier other then AT&T, they are among the highest priced carries and their data packages are out of this world.
Pre-paid plans like Straight Talk and others as well as T-Mobile are some of the cheapest.
It pays to do your homework and have a clue what kind of data plan you will need. T-Mo has truly unlimited data.

Blkcadi, does straight talk offer unlimited talk, text and web? How about hotspot? I'd like to have hotspot for my iPod. Also I called today to see if my local tmobile offers iPhones. They told me that they don't carry them!

I hate AT&T. But I stick with them bc they offer one feature no one else does. Talk and surf/text at the same time. It's great if you live mobile.

I was running a small office and routed calls to AT&T iPhones so we didn't have to staff 24 hours. Just give a phone to who was on that night, they can go do whatever and talk to customers and loook up account info. It's darn handy

AT&T is not the only one with that feature "talk and surf/text at the same time". ?Best iPhone carrier to jailbreak?-imageuploadedbymodmyi1361659883.978814.jpg

I rather have a iPhone service with AT&T then any other providers. It seems to me that Apple makes better iPhone's for AT&T. That's my own opinion though and I rather stay with the original iPhone carriers.
