Normally it takes a few weeks for that stock to come with the latest firmware. They are probably on 6.1.2 or lower for now. That's no guarantee though.

Im sure I can ask them before I buy. With the news for the iphone 5 for tmobile I'm ready to upgrade, but the one from tmobile will probably be updated right? to 6.1.3?

it's coming out on april 12th. the total price will be $580, and the apple factory unlocked is $650, maybe for $70 it might be worth it just to get the unlocked one from apple and not have to wait for a new jb which everyone is saying wont be until ios 7.

    what do you think Simon?

By then the chances of getting a 6.1.3 would be a lot higher I would think. If you want a jailbreakable one I would say try for a unlocked one now.

why dont you just get one now from Apple, pay a couple bucks to have it IMEI unlocked, then use it for T-Mobile?

Now I'm hearing the tmobile phone might have different bands for the lte connection?

The apple one would already be unlocked wouldn't it? I wouldn't need the imei unlock plus it's illegal right now

BTW, if you're planning to buy an unlocked iPhone 5 now, it will not support T-mobile AWS LTE network. It "may" also mean a lower resale value in the future if you plan on selling to pay for an upgrade. Here is a full article about it:

will I still be able to get LTE if I buy the apple version?

edit: just saw your post hcgaloi, thank you! I will wait and get the tmobile version then, maybe I will wait until the jb is out before I get it or I may just be without the jb if I absolutely cant wait

2nd edit: wait, I'm confused, this only specifies the model that was designed for AT&T not the factory unlocked model??
