    i would like to change my sms ring tone can someone help me or point out the locatoin of its m4a or what not

    Those are .caf files. Convert the sounds you want to .aif, then change the name of the extension to .caf. Then you're good.

    never done it, but i would assume those are the ones.

    if your on windows, i use audacity.
    it imports/exports the .cafs without having to do all the converting.

    and they go into /System/Library/Audio/UISounds

    With iTunes you need to import using AIFF encoder you can get to it in iTunes preferences under edit then advanced. After converting rename file to your filename.caf then upload to phone.

    I think the best way to convert them is to just use Quicktime..

    When you open the file.. Then just do file> export.. and just type filename.caf in the filename and it automatically saves the file in the correct format. =) No renaming

    i was wondering about that to i hat hate
