Hey everybody. Here is how you jailbreak your iPod Touch using iLiberty+ for Windows or iLibertyX for the Mac. Sorry Linux users. No jailbreak thing out for you yet. Maybe when Apple releases iTunes for Linux it'll happen....
If you prefer watching YouTube videos to reading, then scroll down to the bottom of this post. I have included some videos from iTouchMaster2. Hope they help.

    1. Download and install the right iLiberty+/iLibertyX. Here's the link:
    iLiberty+: http://www.modmyi.com/forums/downlo ... le&id=4221
    iLibertyX: http://modmyi.com/forums/downloads. ... le&id=4151
The process for both should be pretty similar.
I will be describing the steps for iLiberty+, because I am on Windows (and Linux) and not a Mac. Sorry Mac users, but it's pretty simple and very similar to these instructions.

    2. You may or may not need to restore your iPod/iPhone. But I always do just for good measure.

    3. Make sure that your iPod/iPhone is plugged in.

    4. Launch iLiberty+/X

    5. Check the boxes that are right for you. Like, for iPod Touch users who want to jailbreak and get the
Installer.app will select the first and last boxes. iPhone users will select boxes that apply to them, such as jailbreak, downgrade baseband, etc.
*NOTE* by not selecting the last option in iLiberty+, it will more than likely install Cydia as that has been made the default installer for iLiberty+. Don't ask me why, just be sure to check it if you want Installer. *END NOTE*

    6. Hit "Do it" or whatever that button is at the bottom.

    7. A popup will show up. It will say that you need to unplug your iPod/iPhone and that you need to plug it back in. Do that and then hit OK. It will then attempt to boot your iPod into recovery mode. If it wasn't successful doing that, then a popup will appear giving you 3 options. The first is retry, the 2nd is boot from ramdisk (or something like that), and the 3rd is abort. Unplug your iPod/iPhone, turn it off, hold down the home button, and plug it back in (DFU restore). Now select the 2nd option. Then the process will continue.

    8. Let the iPod/iPhone do what it needs to do. The iPod/iPhone will reboot 1 or more times, depending on what you wanted it to do. Just don't unplug it or close iLiberty+/X or anything.
All the steps from here on out are optional. You do not have to do them

    9. Open up Contacts.

    10. Hit the plus button

    11. Hit first and last name

    12. Type gibberish for 10-30 seconds

    13. Hit cancel twice and then hit home.
Now your iPod/iPhone will not freeze up when typing in things.

    14. Open Installer

    15. Add iPodTouchMaster's source. This can be found by either going to his website, or watching his videos on how to jailbreak.

    16. Let the sources refresh
Now you have iPodTouchMaster's source. Do with your iPod/iPhone what you wish.

Alternatively to reading, you can watch these videos from iTouchMaster2. Hope they help:

Hope I helped you guys in jailbreaking with a much more effective and safer manner than with ZiPhone. iLiberty+/X works with all models, 8, 16, and 32 GB. Although I don't understand why it wouldn't work, only the sizes are different.... If you would like to explain it to me, please do
Give credit where credit is due, press "thank you"
When all else fails, put it into restore mode!!!
Remember, Google is your best friend. And so is YouTube!!!
