    So, I've downloaded 1.1.2 from itunes a while ago and I want it but I have no idea where to look for and I don't want to download a stupid 150mb file which i already have. Anyone know where I could find it?

    nvm I found it by messing around with my comp

    /Users/USERNAME/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/

    Putting compatible firmware in this folder will cause iTunes to use it instead of looking for it online.

    @stevennuckols
    If you're on XP
    AppData = abbreviation for Application Data

    make sure you have "Show hidden files and folders" enabled in Tools-->Folder Options-->View

    if XP not please list OS

    Im using Windows 7 and iTunes saves your backups in

    CUsers\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

    and iTunes saves the firmware in

    CUsers\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

    **this is for iPhone only as u can see it says iPhone software updates**

    Isn't the firmware save location virtually identical to the Touch's?

    Make sure when you are looking for the path for your firmware files that you have clicked "show hidden files and folders" in control panel

    If you have trouble finding the folder on Windows 7, type %appdata% inside the search bar then proceed to \Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
