for whatever reason i cannot change my safari dock icon
i have replaced the correct file and this one is the only one that does not replace - in fact it is still showing reflective while the others are not (recently installed reflective dock then uninstalled later)

Make sure its exactly "Safari.png" and first letter capitalized, it matters.

    system files via iphonebrowser

figured out what i was doing wrong

for whatever reason the /icon/Safari.png file would not work as a replacement

the /bundles/com.apple.mobilesafari/icon.png was the one i needed to replace

    bah

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to chime in. I was having the same damn issue!

saw this and deleted the "icon.png" file from the "/bundles/com.apple.mobilesafari/" and respring, now it works!

Odd, 2 ways to change icons I guess...
