Hey all I have an idea that I think works in theory and I would just like someone to confirm for me. If I SSHed into my iPod and copied every single file from there to my computer and then restored my iPod, could I paste every single file form my computer back into the iPod and have it be exactly as it was before the restore?

You don't need to copy every single folder, just some specific folders.
Either way, you're going to be having some serious headaches fixing permissions...

Yeah "cut and paste" is never a good thing when it comes to an operating system.

I don't see why you don't just restore from backup.. it does the same thing without the headaches.

I do, I was just curious if I could do this to avoid the hassle of reinstalling all of my Cydia sources and apps.
