    Revolution in Navigation.
K.Nitsua & Zausser bring you Inspired OS.

Inspired OS is heavily influenced by Barton Smith's LOCUS OS concept and is entirely based on Steven Troughton-Smith's STACK V3 extension.

There will be several options to download

-Inspired OS Professional Edition (2.99 USD)

This package includes the full UI and mods (SBSettings, SnowCover, StatusNotifier, etc). It will include the option to have the full Inspired-Navigation setup which utilizes springjumps and stacks or use a standard SpringBoard replacement (i.e. Glass Orbs, Elite, iElegance, etc). This package will also feature Inspired OS (Standard) as an option.

-Inspired OS Student Edition (2.49 USD)

This package is geared towards students and utilizes InspiraNav. It will sport the full UI and mods. This package will not include Inspired OS (Standard).

-Inspired OS Business Edition (2.49 USD)

This package is geared towards business users and utilizes InspiraNav. It will sport the full UI and mods. This package will not include Inspired OS (Standard).

    -Inspired OS (1.99 USD)

This package will also include the full UI. It will be a standard SpringBoard replacement.
Both versions will include a lockscreen and auto-create icons.

Inspired OS Professional/Student/Business Editions will require Iconoclasm, SpringJumps, and Stacks. It is really meant for those who REALLY use their iPhone or what to get the most out of their user experience. So far I've received NOTHING but positive feedback regarding the user experience with the newInspired -Navigation (InspiraNav?). Some even go as far as to say it's a better navigation on phones who are KNOWN for their clean navigation. In the Inspired Professional package, you will also have the Inspired OS (Standard) version, JUST in case the InspiraNav concept doesn't suit your fancy. The Professional Edition saves the user up to 50% compared to getting another Edition package and the Standard package.

The Inspired OS (Standard) package is what you are normally used to seeing for sale on Cydia. This is an economically smart choice as well as a choice for those who don't want to hassle with all the bells and whistles... unless you want those bells and whistles, in which I suggest you go with the Pro package. This package does not require any sort of tweak or extension program - only requires Winterboard.

Scroll down for more detail and screenshots. Two paid themes coming to Cydia March 2010. Donate to become an early beta tester and continue to receive the final release in March.

    when is the release?
The release is slated for Mid-March. I'm hoping to work with someone on this theme in order to ensure quality and a full UI.

hope you will do a landscape version k.nitsua
The initial concept was a landscape theme. I'm hoping to make a landscape version too, the problem is that it is increasingly difficult to do support for both versions.

as usual, ur work is inspiring ...excited for the outcome!
Thanks. I tried making a 3D theme, but it came to a halt when I couldn't loop the CSS code for the 3D Z-axis animation I was working on - giving the illusion of a 3D spatial area for the springboard. I'm hoping to learn more in order to make it happen.

I was going for an effect similar to the one in this video at 1:26 (Select Character Screen)

But it didn't loop! I could just do a vWallpaper, but that'd be lazy and wouldn't look as clean. Ah well, maybe in the future.

    Philosophy of Inspired OS:

To be completely honest, I was not planning on making a new theme for quite some time - I just did not have the motivation. I lost motivation to continue NeoStyle 2.0 because there really wasn't much room for improvement compared to what was being released at the time.

So I had decided on simply modding current themes when I get the chance to... until I saw this video:

    [ame=]YouTube - Microsoft Locus OS Concept !![/ame]

I was spellbound! The idea of an interface that is designed on your location. I find myself always using certains apps at home that are different from the apps that I may use at school or work. I HAD to try and bring this idea to the iPhone.

I hope seeing the video above, you guys can get as excited as I am. There are many obstacles - especially in regards to the theme setup; but I am confident that the final product will be something TRULY unique.

The theme will center around the idea of having "multiple desktops". The homepage will an overview of the 6 available desktops: Home, Work, Study, Travel, Media, Settings

Upon selecting a desktop, you'll be presented with the following screen - in this example, it is the "Work" desktop:

The current idea is to have each of these options to be Categories (of course, preferably CategoriesSB - as it is blindingly fast). Towards the bottom-right of the screen is a global Stacks for your most used apps such as Phone, Messages, etc. The bottom-left is the springjump back to the Desktops page. For even easier navigation between desktops, the user can select another desktop page towards the top of the screen.

These desktops have plenty of room for widgets. And the theme will be automatically installed via KATS and C-KATS. The icons of the theme is slated to be auto-created.

So far, the graphics emulate LOCUS OS - this is because I want to focus on the actual navigation. The graphics may be different in the final product.

Hopefully this will give you guys a better idea of what I'm trying to accomplish. Feedback is greatly encouraged, whether positive or negative. Also I'm hoping to get some feedback to the following questions:

    • What widgets would you guys like to see implemented into this theme?
    • Do you feel the CategoriesSB integration a downfall for the theme?
    • Are you worried about the setup time?
    • If you can have a different desktop than those mentioned above, what would it be?
    • What folders would you like to see under the desktops metioned above?
    • If the setup is relatively easy, and the navigation proves to be very intuitive, what is the likelihood that you'll be using this theme for a prolong period of time?
