Hope this is the right place for this. Just bought an 8gig iPod Touch 3G MC model.

I've succesfully downgraded to 3.1.2, and used blackra1n to jailbreak.

everything is fine until i download an app from cydia that requires a reboot, or if i just turn the ipod touch off.

upon reboot, i get the recovery screen, and there is nothing i can do but restore it yet again.

I have yet to see this issue anywhere, but i'm sure it's probably not so unique. Any feedback would appreciated.

    Thanks guys!

This is called a tethered jailbreak. You need to run blackrain every time you reboot.

Try taking a look around this forum. It's pretty much discussed in every other thread
