    I just got a iPod Touch 2G.

I put it on 3.1.2 firmware and jailbroke with blackra1n.

I thought it was just like the iPhone so I went to Cydia and began by installing SBSettings. But then it goes to Springboard and when I turned the iPod off and on again its in recovery mode (with the connect to iTunes picture). Same thing with RockApp

    What am I doing wrong?

Is there another way to jailbreak and install SBSettings?

My bad I saw the Cydia specific board for iPod Touch after I posted this. Which folder should I post it in?

Ok guys I found out what the problem was. So here's the solution for anyone interested

Some apps downloaded from Cydia and Rock require a reboot. This is a problem because as of now jailbroken iPod Touch 3G and 2G (MC models only) on 3.1.2 require a tethered reboot.

So if you want to install something like SBSettings or Winterboard you have to
    1)install 2)reboot device 3)connect to PC and run blackra1n

It's actually a common problem but I guess everybody knows about it now thats why I couldn't find any info in the search lol
