I have a 2G MB model jailbroken iPod touch. I was installing an app (from **********) the other day and the iPod crashed. When it tried to restart, It only got to the apple logo and then froze. I thought it best to restore and then rejailbreak.

When I try to restore on my mac, it gets about 9/10 done on the bar and then just stops. It moved along very quickly but then it just froze. I've waited more than an hour and there has been no progress. My iPod Touch was originally jailbroken with blackra1n, but when I updated it to 3.1.3 I used the spirit JB.

I have no idea whether this will help you but here is some info:
iPod 2G, MB Model, 3.1.3, JB With Spirit
Mac OSX PPC G5, Leopard (10.5.8), Newest iTunes.

Im going to try it on my PC if it doesnt work soon. I dont think that will fix it but its worth a try.

Try and download the 3.1.2 firmware from this site:

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Then plug your iPod in and go into iTunes. Hold the shift key down and click restore. Select the firmware you downloaded.

It will now restore to the 3.1.2 firmware.

Then you can jailbreak with blackra1n!
