    I just need to get into safe mode to delete some glitched up extentions. I can;'t do it via sbsettings becasue it just resprings (not enough memory)

    Ipod Touch 2g 3.1.3 jailbreaken using spirit.

    try looking in google, or cydia, or just run a bunch of applications in the background


    13 recovery mode restores
    7 dfu mode restores
    2 custom firmware restores

    I can't get into cydia, I can barly type my password before it autolocks (for taking to long)

    I was wondering about forcing safe mode via usb?

    You can download sbsettings from cydia and tap power than safe mode

    I think he cant get into his ipod at all and he needs a why to enter safe mode externally through usb. Sadly i do not know how to do so and i am having the same promblem but on my ipod it is stuck on the apple start up screen and sadly cant get to the lock screen.

    Old, old, old bump.

    This is a very simple solution, surprised so few know about it.

    1. Open Terminal

    2. Type the following command:
    su root
    3. Terminal will prompt you for a password, if you haven't already changed it, the default password is alpine

    4. Run the following command once logged in as root:
    killall -SEGV SpringBoard
    And that should solve the problem.
