Hey, for the past few days, I've been trying to communicate with my iPad 3G's baseband. This is a little bit tricky, and I don't know if I'm doing it right. On the iPad, I've installed Minicom 2.2 from Cydia, and I've done minicom -s in Terminal, and set the Serial Port to /dev/tty.debug. Got that all done, now when I do minicom -w, it gives me this thing where I have to use ctrl + A + another letter. According to, under the baseband commands, it says I should be able to do stuff like at+cmgs, now I assume I should be able to see what I type in, but I'm not. My main goal here is to measure the signal directly from the baseband in dBm, and to send a text message directly from it. also said that there is a "traditional unlock code", in which it provided on the page, if I was to get into the baseband on an iPhone, and I ran that code, would that actually unlock the device? Thank you for all the help!
