Link doesn't work but there are definitely issues with anyone on 4.2.1. I'm on that myself as I've had an iphone 4 for just a couple of weeks and so I was forced to go with the tethered jailbreak. The developers understandably won't be upgrading until an untethered is ready (pretty soon now).

But you might want to make sure you have the G.O.C. HD Update and make sure you have it moved to the top in Winterboard. It fixed some of the issues you are describing.

This is the 2nd theme I've ever used, the first being GOC Pro.

I made the folder wallpaper match up with the regular wallpaper so it seemlessly sits on top. I agree with [email protected] (or whoever said it) that I'll probably not upgrade to 1.4 of FolderEnhancer if they decide to take away the ability to use the old layout method. Not sure why they would limit their program that way...

Special shout out to wiredl0ve on his help with FolderEnhancer and LanMan66 with his work on the 4.2.1 changes (some of us that just got the iphone 4 had no control over OS...). Of course in around 150 pages there have been lots of others with great insight as well!

So far my fix to that little "file ?" icon in the middle of the screen has been to stick an icon on top of it... I know it's coming from the HD_GlassDock, but haven't really looked into what or why yet. Yes, putting HD_UserWallpaper first gets rid of the little "file ?" icon, but it also gets rid of the Glass Dock.

    Once again, great work TV!

For the HomeBackground, you will have to modify the Wallpaper.html file inside of the G.O.C HD_GlassDock.theme if you are using the glass dock, and I BELIEVE the Wallpaper.html file inside of the G.O.C. HD_UserWallpaper.theme if you are not using the glass dock. Toyvan can probably correct me there if I'm mistaken or missed any other places. You will either need to point it to the location where you have saved your high-res background images, or if you would rather use the low-res files that you can change with a quick respring, then you can point it to /var/mobile/Library/Springboard/HomeBackgroundThumbnail.jpg.
My fix for this was to remove the line that accessed this file (

<div id="Layer"><img src="/private/var/mobile/Library/SpringBoard/HomeBackground.jpg" class="stretch"/></div>) from wallpaper.html since I'm getting my home background from elsewhere anyway.

By the way, I'm not sure if this was available in GOC Pro but I LOVE the ability to make my own theme directory for my changes where I can put the stuff I want without future updates overwriting my stuff. I use to cuss ToyVan every time there was an update to GOC Pro because I had a litany of files I had to move back over. It took all of two minutes, but ya know...

So I have a 'var/stash/Themes.xxxx/My G.O.C. Changes' directory that I copy my stuff to. In this case I removed the line of code that was looking for HomeBackground.jpg from Wallpaper.html and copied it into my directory (along with the "Overlay.png" from the GlassDock directory). Now I get my glass dock and no little ? box in the middle of the screen.

    Any day now...

Unless you don't have your SHSH blob saved (like me who bought mine a couple weeks ago) and now it's looking like we may have to wait for the next major release before we can go untethered.

So far I haven't had any issues or need to boot other than Cydia updates, knock on wood...

Someone had asked earlier about the old charging icon filling up with battery fluid, and I moved mine over from my GOC Pro so I thought I'd post it out here. I like the whole apple theme so I had changed it up a bit...

If anyone wants to make use just copy the contents of the zip file to one of your theme's /Bundles/com.apple.springboard folders. I've got mine in my custom one that sits on top in winterboard...

just a question, is there a way to change the font size on all the icon labels
    Here's what I did...

First, I created a directory called 'Custom Icon Labels' in the var/stash/Themes.xxxx/ directory. Now this one will come up in your winterboard themes lists and you can move it to the top.

I put an info.plist in that directory with the following...

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0"><dict>

    <key>UndockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <string>font-weight: bold; font-size: 15px; color: #380000</string>

    </dict></plist>

The key there is to have an UndockedIconLabelStyle key followed by a string that has "font-size: 'size'px; in it. In my example I wanted the font to be 15 pixels, the weight to be bold, and the color to be a dark brown.

I don't have docked labels but if you want them then you'd include a DockedIconLabelStyle key and then give it a string with your font settings as well.

    Hi from France!

    - In order to be understanded, I've not read all the 144 pages of this topic, but the first page and some others was -

I just buyed this theme to put it on my iPhone4 - iOS 4.2.1, but there is always a pb with the camera and the maps icons... With G.O.C. Pro (on a 3GS), it was very easy to make some changes on application icons, but with this HD, I never find them... And there is always the pb with the background, unpossible to have with the GlassDock natively. I find the solution to put a jpg in the folder /private/var/mobile/Library/SpringBoard, to rename it as HomeBackgroundThumbnail.jpg and to modify the file Wallpaper.html in the folder GlassDock with the correct link.
Can you give me some indications?
    Thx

This is quoted from post #1:

    "WALLPAPER HD OVERLAYS
Attached below you will find a zip with few wallpaper overlays(WallpaperHD_Overlays.zip) that you can easily drop your own custom backgrounds behind. You will need photoshop or some other image editing software so you can put your background layer beneath the WallpaperHD layer..looks best when using the PROweather widget"

Then if you scroll down and below FAQ you will see many zip files.

    Also quoted from post #1:

CHANGING WALLPAPER WHEN USING WEATHER & DATE WIDGETS(Springboard only!)
    1. Open winterboard and make sure 'G.O.C. HD_UserWallpaper' is on the very top and selected.
    2. Select the wallpaper of your choice via Settings>Wallpaper or your camera roll.
    3. Respring device.(wow, that was easy!)

NOTE: Feel free to use the custom wallpapers when using 'G.O.C. HD_PRO_Weather/Date' options by downloading the 'G.O.C. HD_PRO_Weather_Wall.zip' attached below. You can use any wallpaper from your camera roll when using the weather+date widgets by selecting the 'G.O.C. HD_UserWallpaper' option in winterboard(Make sure it is on the very top). You must RESPRING YOUR DEVICE each time before your wallpaper will appear. If you're NOT using the Weather+Date option DO NOT HAVE 'G.O.C. HD_UserWallpaper' SELECTED IN WINTERBOARD!!

This should get you up and running

The creator of this theme is waiting for an untethered jailbreak to be released (I am also), so we are still on 4.1 and have no intentions to upgrade to 4.2. At this time we are unable to address any theme bugs until the untethered jailbreak is released. There a few thread members that have posted help about 10 pages or so back that can give you guidance.

We will fix bugs and update the theme when a legitimate untethered jailbreak is released. As it stands now, it looks like the devteam and comex will not release anything until after 4.3 is released by Apple. Geohot, the other jailbreak wizard is having legal problems with a lawsuit against him from Sony and the Playstation jailbreak, so do not see any releases from him for awhile. The lawsuit brought by Sony has some of these guys edgy and there are little battles going on between them on twitter.

All I can say to you and others, we are aware of issues with the theme on 4.2 and had advised against upgrading from 4.1 because there would be no support until we are not attached to our computers with a tethered jailbreak. As developers and beta testers, we do many things that could result in the iPhone needing to reboot and if we test something away from our computers, then we are screwed because of the tether. Watch the boards and twitter and when an untethered jailbreak is released, then we will have updates for G.O.C. HD out in a short time.

I highly recommend that users of this theme do NOT upgrade to 4.2 OR the upcoming 4.3 UNTIL TOYVAN or the beta testers post on this thread that it is safe to do so.
