I'm using Windows 7 Home Starter on a netbook and I'm running 4.2.1 on my iPad. I downloaded greenpois0n and followed the instructions but it seems like the iPad doesn't want to go into DFU mode. I don't have iTunes installed on this machine. Is that a requirement? I followed the instructions on RedmondPie and it didn't say to have iTunes as a prerequsite.

it's most likey that you arent doing the dfu mode steps correctly, or you have greenpois0n rc4 or earlier..go to greenpois0n.com to get the most recent one..that might work

I've owned an iPhone before and used to JB a lot. I'm doing the setup correctly and I'm using the latest RC6 which I downloaded directly from the devs website.

It's not putting the iPad into DFU mode. Should I turn off the iPad and then try it while it's off? I would imagine that it doesn't matter right?
