I thought this would be simple. How do you get rid of them? I tried the option in Winterboard and all it does is turn the labels from white to black.

There's a tweak in cydia that'll get rid of them for you. It's called something like no dock labels 4.2.1.

In any theme you are already running, you can update the Info.plist member and set the opacity of the dock labels to 0. Like this:

    <key>DockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <string>color: white; opacity: 0</string>

Or just create a new theme (like No Dock Labels.theme) and create the Info.plist member with the above. Either way, setting the opacity to zero for DockedIconLabelStyle will make them "disappear".

Thanks for the help I downloaded the tweak. It's called "no docked icon labels 4.0".
