I had an iPhone 4, at 4.2.8 IOS but I figured I'd just get a new one and re do the jailbreaking process before my factory warranty ran out. So it came today, I figured I'd have no problems doing anything. But I keep getting error 3194, I've modified the host file and using tiny umbrella, it still won't work. What am I to do ?

If you are trying to restore to 4.2.8 with a new Phone you wont be able to since you wont have SHSH for 4.2.8.

+1. if it didn't come with 4.2.8 you can't restore to it.

In TinyUmbrella, check for SHSHs for 4.2.8. Slim to none chance if it's a brand new iPhone but at least it gives you something to do. Also it'll save SHSHs for 4.2.10 now so just in case in the future you'll have SHSHs

What did the phone come with. Is it a refurbed one? If that is your replacement phone then it is refurbished. Check the iOS jailbreak with what ever applies for that FW then open. Cydia and see what shsh you have. If the phone is refurbished then there is still a pretty good chance that who ever had it before jailbroke and had saved shsh.
