Do not have any blobs. Just got a iPad 1 given to me by my grandpa who didn't want it anymore. The firmware unfortunately was 4.3.5.

Is it possible to downgrade this to 4.3.3 so I can jailbreak the thing without having tiny umbrella blobs? I have tried numerous ways but they have all failed. Going crazy without jailbreak functionality.

Should I just wait for ios5 so I can get a untethered jailbreak?

Check with Tiny umbrela, plug iPad and click save shsh. Do the resquest shsh from both cydia and apple in adv tab, look in general tab for shsh blob.
    No shsh means no downgrade

Not totally sure how to use tinyumbrella.... but in the advanced tab everything is checked except update baseband.

I clicked on "save shsh" and this was the result:

Said that for a bunch of other versions below that. Just took this particular screenshot because it mentions 4.3.5

When I click back on the general tab no saved shsh files show up.

So am I screwed until 5.0 comes out?

Check out this webpage: The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella: FAQ

Also, make sure you are running the latest version of Java, which I believe is Java 6? Hope this helps!

You can always use RedSn0w - it's tethered but how often do you shut down your iPad.

When iOS 5.0 comes out RedSn0w will still be tethered - you could have a long wait for an untethered JB.
