    EDIT :
I REINSTALLED EVERYTHING AND TRIED AGAIN AND IT WORKS, THANKS SO MUCH CrAcKzZZ!

Hi CrAcKzZZ, whenever I try to do the extract command in command line, I get "ImportError: No module named artwork.legacy_artwork_file"
it says it's inside iOS-artwork.py in line 38.

    Thanks

Hmm, upload a screenshot please? I tried extracting the same file and its worked fine. Make sure you have PIL 1.1.7 and Python 2.7.3
i have reinstall python 2.7.3 and pill 1.1.7 for 2.7 and still have this problem:

What firmware version is this .artwork file from?

    UPDATE:

Pillow is a relatively new fork of the Python Imaging Library (PIL) and it brings many new improvements to PIL 1.1.7. I suggest that it be installed instead of PIL 1.1.7, also, i have tested it out personally, it works great with Python 2.7.3. So go download it! I'm updating the tutorial now

    UPDATE 2:

Lucky for you Mac users Pillow 2.0.0 supports macs!!! Go grab it.

Note that there are different versions of Pillow so remember which version of Python 2.7.3 you have installed (x86 or x64) and download accordingly!

    Ok try this

Uninstall Python 2.7.3 and PIL 1.1.7.

Re install Python 2.7.3 and then Pillow 2.0.0

    Open cmd.exe (Run as Adminstrator)

Enter the following, in order (exactly as written):
    Code:
    chdir C:\Python27
    Code:
    python iOS-artwork.py export -a \Python27\orig\[email protected] -d \Python27\[email protected]\
    Hopefully problems should be resolved.

Wow, well i'm lost here now too. best i can do now is suggest you put it up as an issue on github: https://github.com/davepeck/iOS-artwork/issues

I can't figure out why its not working, hopefully your .artwork file hasn't been modded or changed.

From a testing perspective perhaps you could upload or PM your artwork file to either CrAcKzzZ or myself?

That would narrow down if it's an "artwork" file issue or Python/Pillow install issue?

    :-o

    FYI

Just downloaded the 6.1.3 IPSW (iphone 4) and extracted that, mounted it on my Mac then tore out the [email protected]k file. There is no issues with extracting it on PC...still 1178 images....

This isn't a WinterBoard thread. It's in fact the opposite ;p

Thanks Jato for testing that out, im quite sure that no .artwork files have been changed from iOS 6.1 to 6.1.3, so looks like we're in the clear,

    Happy Theming,
I'm going to PM u the details if you want to extract IPSWs yourself...only for A4 & below until someone IF EVER finds bootrom exploits for A5 + !!

Basically you add an "exe" to your folder your trying to extract the IPSW from and input similar code like Python and then BAM that's it while it extracts the dmg to a rootfs file. Then you add the .dmg extension and mount in Mac = Full Access and working directories...

Going to see if it works on Beta versions!

Mac? Yea the problem is with windows, i dont think it'll work in windows. Mac has always supported this cuz its an Apple machine. But send it to me anyways, maybe we can work something out.

Sure man I'll flick u a PM, last night it wouldn't extract via Mac...so I went with the Windows approach and OMG it was a 100 times easier! You only need that one "exe" and that is it! You need to get the VFDecrypt Keys buts that's easy to find online...

Like you were saying the only issue is Windows doesn't support dmg files...it extracts it fine but then you're stuck. I'm lucky I guess cos I have both so it's not an issue...

Will flick you a PM bud!

    ***UPDATE***

Dave Peck has just announced that he has updated his extractor kit to include the SIRI "1x" file from the iPad Mini.

    [email protected]~ipad

You need to update your Extractor kit from the usual place

    https://github.com/davepeck/iOS-artwork/

I think I have file lying around somewhere so plan to test tonight. He said the iOS artwork is getting more difficult to crack.

He is still working on the iconCache file.

Props to Dave Peck for maintaining it!

UPDATE: It's working like a charm to extract/recompile the iPad Mini SIRI "[email protected]~ipad.artwork" file

    All 180pngs are 94x94px

Will PM CrAcKzZZ so he can test/add to the first post...
