    Hey all

    The Latest Updates [Jan 20th 2013]

    Page 1 - Modified, and I am trying out new colours
    Page 2 - Will make changes soon
    Page 3 - Almost Completed

    Questions:
    1. Can someone [original owner] provide a slideshow widget that I can use. All I need is the basic function. I will most likely change the codes and the images?
    2. Can some provide a picture widget or maybe just the codes to simply display a picture as a widget. Look and Preview 3 with the Speaker? I intend to make an animated speaker widget.
    3. Are there any FREE widgets for use? Please provide

    Help needed:
    Can someone do a simple Marquee SlideShow for me.

    I will eventually try to do these things myself. The problem I am having is, the HTML displays fine on the laptop but does not display on the iPhone. If it does, it's normally out of place.

    @cloudyweather1

    If you go back 2-3 pages and look for a post by sk37ch he has a link to a database of iwidgets. There are a lot of free ones there and I believe they list the creators so you can ask about using their code.

    To create just a picture widget, just make a call from the HTML to an image then position it with some CSS. Should be very easy.

    No, widgets as of now, will always be on top of icons.

    This is why I love PerpageHTML. You can put your widget in a page and the icons will be over it.
    Ofcourse the disadvantage is that the widget will be static

    Doubt it if iwidgets were below icons you would be able to position them wherever you want. If you want them beneath icons just use a winterboard widget or perpage HTML

    Can also do this with iwidgets. Durben has been doing it alot recently

    The top widget is called WordClock and you can search for it under that name. Pretty sure it's by Schnedi. The font comes from a tweak called BytaFont but I don't know the name of that particular font. And no, iWidgets can't show your iCal information on the Springboard nor is there any app that can. You can only use your Notification Center by dragging your index finger from top to bottom on any screen.

    Hope that helps.

    Most weather widgets need the "MyLocation" app. You can find the directions and repo to it in my sig.

    Can anyone make a simple flip clock widget? I'm basically looking for one to look like the HTC clock that was first mentioned, but without all the additional info like weather. Just a basic clock. I wish I had taken an HTML course in school.

    Can't make widgets from scratch, but if you can get your hands on one and permission to edit it, I can give it a try.

    All you have to do is put a myLocation.txt file in your documents folder with your coordinates like this:

    Lat=40.015210
    Long=-86.161037

    Make sure that you spell the file name exactly as I did above.

    No. Widgets can't address app info on the phone itself. Media center info depends on apps like iTunes, Photo, etc. Widgets can't be used to compile such data unfortunately.
    or a qlocktwo widget?
    I have no idea what that is. Generally speaking widgets and iWidgets do mostly weather, slideshows, small animations, a simple clock or monthly calendar image. That's about their limit from what I've seen.

    a QClocktwo is too big to be an iWidget.. that's easy to do but something so big and above the icons i think is a bit useless.
