sry about the confusion, i realise this is eldwins thread for iwidgets, but the widget im talking about is the HTC widget but it does not use iwidgets to activate it... u have to activate it via winterboard (which is a bit irritating as i have had to install winterboard), but it has its own wallpaper.html file which i think is for its wall paper - anyway im confusing things further.

back to my orginal post and questions please - hope someone can help

Wallpaper.html means that it runs on the springboard and will show up on every page of your springboard. It has nothing to do with actual wallpaper image. Lockscreen.html means it will run on your lockscreen. Ok, the lockscreen.html is a little obvious. There is only one way to run a lockscreen.html and that is from Winterboard. There are 3 ways to run html files on the springboard, Winterboard, iWidgets (can be placed anywhere on the springboard and different ones can be pkaced on the same page. Each page can be different) and PerPageHTML(more similar to winterboard, except that you can have as different one on each page. I believe that this will be phased out by iWidgets).

With all that said, just what is it that you guys are after here?

I think this is the goal. An HTC animated iWidget optimized for the iPhone 5 screen.

Does anyone have any ideas as why some of the iWidgets do not update unless I respring? At first I thought it was the time interval update in the config files but its not. I've waited up to 3hrs & nothing.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Also anyone know how to list the "location" on top? My location is behind the weather icons depending on the name of the city I'm in, for instance if the name is too long.Attachment 625551Attachment 625552Attachment 625553Attachment 625554

I know that the original creator of UniAW just purchased an iPhone 5 today and is going to update it at this thread:

I have seen a few people complain about this, but I'm not sure why its not updating.

This can be edited in the CSS file. You can either change the position or make the font smaller.

Ok so I found what is in the video. It is farkman's winterboard htc clock. I was trying to avoid having to install winterboard. Could someone possibly make it into an iWidget? The package is called HTC Animated Weather Widget + GPS.

I know I've seen people do fairly quick conversions before. Could it be done if I asked and recieved permission from frakman1?

I wish my memory was better, but if you tell me where you got that widget I can fix for you. I have about every widget known to mankind, I have that one, just can't remember where I put it.

Mission accomplished for now. I just copied the old widget over from my 4 and it's all good. Animations don't extend all the way down the screen but it's not a big deal.

    GPS WEATHER UPDATE for iOS

Ok, lets see if we can get you going:

First lets uninstall the MyLocation through cydia, if you have that option. Then reboot.

If you didn't install through Cydia and just downloaded the .deb file then on your phone, go to /Applications and delete the "MyLocation.app" folder.

Now go to /var/mobile and set the permissions for the "Documents" folder. Click on the blue arrow on the right side of the "Documents" folder and set hierarchy to ON, change "Ownership" to mobile & mobile and change "Access Permissions" to read, write and execute for all three.

Now go to /var/mobile/Documents and delete "locationPath.txt" & "myLocation.txt" files if they exist, if you have a "MyLocation.deb" delete it also. Then reboot again.

Now you should be clean and are ready to install.

There are two methods in this guide choose ONLY ONE.

    METHOD ONE
Download the update from this link:

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/94671858/MyLocation.deb

    Open in iFile.
    Install the deb
    reboot

    Proceed to step "A" below

    Credits to Creator: Bushe

    METHOD TWO

    Steps:
    Browse to /var/root/Media/
    1. Create a new folder called Cydia
    2. Inside the new Cydia folder, create a folder called AutoInstall
( make sure you create these folders exactly as you read them here. The names are case-sensitive. )

    3.download this: http://db.tt/48J5gDan

Copy the .deb file from that link into AutoInstall folder
    4.Reboot
    5.respring your iDevice.
    6. Proceed to step "A" below

    A) Open the "Settings" app and go to "Location Services". Make sure it is turned on and that you see "MyLocation" in the list. You can turn it to "On" if it is off.

    B) Now open the MyLocation app and turn "sig. change" to on and then close it.

    C) Select your favorite GPS Mod in Winterboard.
    D) respring

I'm sure you will let me know how this works!

Through winterboard? so we can use either option? and i guess we will have to move iwidgets to Themes folder?

works well so far btw, granted it has only been 10min lol
