Yeah, navigate to /var/stash/Themes.XXXXX/edgy.theme and rename the Info alt cal.plist to Info.plist
That alternate plist turns the calendar date to white.

I think there is a ton of work within the themes and mods etc throughout this thread. Take some time to look thru it. The title is old I think.

I've looked through but with 162 pages good chance I missed it. Keep in mind I'm somewhat of a beginner at this. I've created a Spotify & Pandora icon but can't get them to use the new icon. I've looked at other themes on my computer but their folder structure is each different. How do I go about changing the icons for apps not listed in the Bundles folder? Thanks.

If you are trying to change app store apps, the easiest way is to use the old summerboard method.

Create a folder in /Library/Themes and name it whatever you want. I name it something that makes sense like "Theme_Custom". Then inside that folder create another one named "Icons". Do NOT use the quotes and the "I" must be capitalized in "Icons". Now place 2 copies of your icon into the "Icons" folder. You MUST name them exactly as they are named on your spring board. With the same capital letters. Example:

    eBay is correct
    Ebay is NOT correct

Name 1 icon eBay.png & the other [email protected].

Make sure that this theme is on top of everything else in winter board, and enable it. Make sure that summerboard mode is turned on, and respring.

If you put all your custom stuff in your Theme_Custom slave theme, then if there is an update to your theme in cydia, you won't lose any of you custom items.

Let me know how you make out.

Very clear explanation of the method, thanks.

Enabling SummerBoard mode of WinterBoard has a bit of an incidence on RAM though... And Saurik said it was dated, back then when he released WinterBoard

For themeing with the Bundles folder method you need the Bundle ID of the apps you're swapping the icons of, and the names of their respective icons.
I just browse to the wanted application's Info.plist in iFile

    Code:
    /var/mobile/Applications/YourRegularAppFromTheAppStore/YourRegularAppFromTheAppStore.app/Info.plist
    Or
    Code:
    /var/stash/Applications/YourStockOrCydiaSystemApp/YourStockOrCydiaSystemApp.app/Info.plist
I open that file with a text editor, and look for the CFBundleIdentifier
The line of code following this will hold half of the required information to skin its icon. Copy what's in between the 'string' and '/string' tags.

Then look for the CFBundleIconFile line, still in the Info.plist
The name of the icon should be listed there.
It can be Icon114.png, icon-Retina.png, HDIcon.png, or whatever the devs used.

If there isn't a CFBundleIconFile key, it means the app sticks to the [email protected] or [email protected] iOS standard
    > go back to the application's .app folder and look whether this has a capital I or not. It will be next to the Info.plist file you just opened.

Pandora's CFBundleIdentifier which should be com.pandora
And its icon should be named [email protected]
Basically, you just create a folder you name com.pandora holding the icon image which you baptize [email protected], ans drop this in the Bundles folder of your theme.
Good practice is to customize your theme as a separate WinterBoard theme.
For instance, you can add your custom stuff to a MyEdgy.theme folder, so that eventual Cydia updates edgy undergoes won't overwrite your mods.

I found these two here; CFBundleIdentifer Database

    com.spotify.client [email protected]
    com.spotify.Spotify icon-Spotify.png

would go in Bundles under Themes.XXXXXX
    Edit ;
system apps (the ones the iDevice ships with) and Cydia's need a 118x120px icon
Apps you installed from the AppStore or iTunes have 114x114px icons instead.

I forgot whether the SummerBoard's way (with the Icons folder) differentiates the two sizes. I reckon so, it could cause an alignment issue on screen.
