i jailbroke my ipad 1g to ios 5.0.1....

everything was fine for a week and then cydia stopped working.

i found out why (a cydia app failed) but idk what i should do ?

my ipad works but everything including safari force closes after a few minutes of use. cydia nor cydia apps will open.

    please help !

Need to delete the last tweaks ya put on there and see if that helps. Put it in safe mode and run it and see if everything works if it does its something on cydia ya installed that's not working right with something

i cant access it, i tried everything, spotlight, swiping status bar.

my jailbreak might have been tethered don't you think ? should i re-jailbreak with redsn0w ?

Seems to me that a restore and re-jailbreak is what will cure your issue. Something is corrupt, most likely the iOS. Hard to determine if you can't access SBSettings to turn of any mobile substrate tweaks.

so i should restore again and re-jailbreak using redsn0w ?
because i just (like 5 minutes ago) re-jailbroke with redsn0w and i got my cydia apps working again, but cydia still won't open.

What cydia apps are you running and yes if we can't determine what tweak it is. It's gonna be hard to figure out what's causing this issue.

don't think a restore is necessary.. try tethered boot? if that doesn't work, turn the ipad off. hold down the volume up key during boot until it gets to the lock screen. should have you in safe mode at that point, and you can get into cydia to uninstall the problem app. good luck!
