The icon names have most likely changed. You can look in each app's folder (or Info.plist file) with iFile and find the current icon name(s).
Could you tell me how to do that? Like which directories and what I need to change?

One more question, please. A lot of my icons have reverted back to their original appearance -- specifically Music, Phone, Contacts and then some apps like CNN, Huffington Post and some others.

I've reinstalled Desire UI and Desire Icons several times, but they aren't masking properly.

    Any suggestions?
Or change them with ifile as Sital told you or wait for the update

Cydia (and some AppStore apps) are in /Applications in iFile. The rest of the AppStore apps are in /User/Applications. For each app that isn't theming, go into it's folder in iFile and find the icon names. Rename the Desire icons to these new names.

Those icon names have been changed to [email protected] if you'd like to change the names yourself.

Thanks for the info -- I don't see any of my installed apps in the /Applications or /User/Applications directories in iFile. The /User directory takes me directly to the /var/mobile directory, and the only apps in /Applications are Music, Passbook, etc.

For example on Passbook, what would I change to have it themed? It had a Desire theme yesterday, but today after updating to iOS 8, it's back to regular icon. Same for Music, Contacts, Phone, etc. How/where would I change those names? (Sorry, a bit of a newbie here)

Could you let me know how I actually change the names, or where?

Okay I'll just wait -- I don't understand what you mean by going on the Desire and changing it -- I don't know if that means typing in the new name somewhere or what. Sorry, newbie here.

Yes is means typing mean you go on Dedire icons ios7-Bundles and there you have the stock apps and icons now for ex for msj go into com.apple.SMS or something like that and open that folder you will see the [email protected] now this icon you need to rename it with [email protected] and after that you need to respring by winterboard

Thanks very much. That worked for most of the ones that weren't theming. One final question (hopefully), what would be the folder where the Clock, Phone and Settings tab are in the Desire Bundles folder? I can't seem to find them.

now i think you could see on twitter many could change the clock icon using IconBundles tweak from cydia here is the explication:

Here is how. First download IconBundles from cydia. Then create your clock icon and name it [email protected]. You will need to create a folder named IconBundles and stick it in the root of your theme. Example Library/Themes/Desire icons ios7/IconBundles. Respring with winterboard and you clock will be themed

also i could add to the HSD an springboard icon what you need to do if you don't like the white mask is very simple go to Library-Themes-Desire icons ios7-Bundles-HomeScreen Designer.app copy the [email protected] and place it into Applications-HomeScreen Designer.app(were Applications is the first folder when you open ifile)this folder is for all the stock icons and also for tweaks that have an springboard icon now place the icon there and make an respring by winterboard and you will have and HSD icon on springboard.

I dont have the path for User/Applications I'm on 8.1 and I have the problem that I can't see the bundle names.
One icon didnt change here even if I renamed [email protected]
So I think the folder name changed but where can I see that now?
