You have to find each element in the style.css file, Lisa. #address, #Day0desc, and Iím not sure what the others are named. Trial and error is how we all do it. But almost all in style.css

    NewD, how you doing?

Is there a tutorial somewhere to show how to create your own UniAW7 widgets/mods. I have Atom text editor and Photoshop. I just need to know where to start from there
Thomas.. As I've mentioned before when you asked this question. There is no ONE tutorial that could teach you all the coding you need to create your own. We all learn by STARTING to MOD another person's work.. toward our own vision. Do you have a background you'd like to start with? Do you have some special placement you'd like to start with? Be specific.. Take something you already know like UniAW7.1 and start getting a vision for what you'd like to change.. Then ask SPECIFIC questions on 'how to mod x' and I can help.. Then you keep good notes on what I tell you so you can apply what you've learned in other places. We ALL learn that way. When I came here I knew NOTHING.. Now I can code anything I want. I'm still not an artist in PhotoShop - so I still need to ask others to make walls for me.. But placing things I can do now.. and get any weather data or info I want to display. Took me 2-3 years. But it was ALL via baby steps. There is no 1 book to teach you to make your own widgets. Sorry. If there were that person would make some good money.

There are several steps needed to convert a widget to work in Anemone.. A couple things in that screen there but other placement of items in a certain folder. After work today I can explain more.

Ian hasn't been around for quite some time developing this - so I'm going to take a bold step here and finally change UniAW's version name to UniAW-X... Though this version works on all phones back to iPhone4.. and has all the code to grab weather data from WidgetWeather 3 it's also fully updated now to run with iPhoneX and beyond... So it's time for a version name change..

Please use this one as the base for any U-X (U7) mods you do going forward...

I present UniAW-X (based on the brilliant work of Ian Nicoll and Dacal - keeping their DREAM ALIVE!!!)

Can we install this now, or will you be submitting to cydia?
Is it a simple replace older version?

Have a couple of quick question for us newbs. With that base script, where do we find the layers/walls for UniAW widgets and which folder do we put them in??

    Hi Lisa,
UniAW7.x has always been a free widget distributed on these UniAW threads. It's never been available directly through Cydia. Though there are many free and paid widgets based on its code that HAVE been distributed on private and public repos at Cydia. Ian and Dacal always gave permission for the code to be used in free and paid widgets as long as the credits were never removed from the files.

My only addition to that, as soon as I assumed update development, was that if any of the code I added for WW3 and forecasts was used in a paid widget, that modder needed to ask my permission and then make sure I had access to all of their paid widgets - no cost to me for my personal enjoyment.

So, by ALL means, just use this link or the link in my signature to download and place in your:
    • var/mobile/Library/SBHTML folder for a Homescreen widget in XenHTML or SBHTML
    • var/mobile/Library/LockHTML folder for a Lockscreen widget in LockHTML4 or XenHTML
    • /Library/Themes folder for a Homescreen widget in Anemone (prior to iOS11)
    • /bootstrap/Library/Themes folder for a Homescreen widget in Anemone (iOS11)
    • var/mobile/Library/iWidgets folder for a placeable Homescreen widget on any page of your Springboard (prior to iOS11)

The beauty of UniAW7 and now UniAW-X is that it is autosensing for whatever role you want it to play in any of our HTML rendering tweaks. It knows what device you're on. All you need to do is place it in the folder you want for SB or LS or iWidget use.

    Hope that answers your question.

    Thomas,
If you wish to work with your own background and not use U-X's weather or timed walls - all you need to do is go into config.js (or config_anem.js) and change the wallpaper option to "user" here:
    var Wallpaper_options = "user";

Then in the widget's folder navigate to /AnemoneHTML/Images/Wallpapers/User and in there put your own image of at least 640x960 (iPh4) up to 828x1464 (plus sized phone) and rename it to default.png. If you need to also add an additional overlay that must be done via adding some code and css. Many modders here can help you with as well. But if it's simply one main wall - what I describe there is the method.

    NewD, how’s it going?

I appreciate the response and baby steps is something I am more than good with. So again, I appreciate your response.

Where to start. Can I Code some? I wouldn’t necessarily say I can, but I’m getting there. I have converted several widgets to work in Anemone on iOS 11....with the help of you folks here in this thread. The 2 biggest reasons I want to learn it is to simply know how to do it myself and so I don’t have to ask anybody to share their entire widget. “Catch a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” That concept is where I am now with it.

Try setting display: none to some elements on the CSS...
    #dewpt
    #pressure
    #UVindex
    #visibility
    #winspeed

I'm just guessing as I don't speak the language in the pic UniAW7...

If it's a UniAW based widget...
