(searched but could not find an answer)

I've had my 2G for about 1.75 years now and the battery is draining ridiculously fast, even in Airplane mode. I know the cost (The program costs $79, plus $6.95 shipping. The program cost is $85.95 per unit.)

Just wondering if anyone has done this with their jailbroken 2G iPhones.

Is Apple able to replace the battery at a B&M?
Anyone with a jailbroken 2G iPhone replace their battery yet?
Did you restore before having it replaced?

I dont think they do it in-store.

I would restore since Apple declared jailbreaking "illegal" lol.

If your not experienced with that type of stuff, I wouldnt recommend trying it yourself....it requires soldering and cross the wires on that beast = BOOM.

I read on Apple's site that it takes a total of 3 days. You think its worth paying for a new battery or sell and buy a new one?

    Thanks for the fast reply.

Muh, there are cheaper places to get the battery replaced that are reputable. Here's one for example:
