Hello, i have been jaibroken on my 3g running FW 3.0.1 since it has been available. All off a sudden yesterday my phone seemed warm and was losing battery power at an alarming rate. Now it lasts less than half a day in standby. I only send a few texts in my work day and its dead within hours. Please can someone offer some help?

^Strange. Make sure you turn off SSH and things of that nature when you're not using them.

If you think it could be a hardware issue, take it in to Apple and see what they'll do for you; a lot of times they'll swap it out no problem.

Yep, they will if there's definitely a problem with it, which in your case sounds like it could be.

    Have you tried restoring yet?

actually just did a full restore and am in the middle of reinstalling everything. I had to set it up as a new phone because i know that 3x has issues with battery if you do it from a backup. Am depleting the battery now and going to give it a full charge and see what happens in the morning. Just strange it happened suddenly like that.

Whoo Hoo. Seemed to work well with a complete restore and setting up as new phone. A bit of a pain to have to go through it and still a mystery as to why it even started happening. Now if i can figure out why i have NEVER picked up a gps signal on this thing i will be good ;-)
