    Hello,
My iPhone 3g's home button has stopped working. Earlier this morning, it did, so I don't know what could've caused it.

is there any app that could remap the home button to something else? ( maybe the volume button )

or do I have to try to get a repair

There are numerous threads on this issue if you search for it.

    1. Yes there is an app for your home button. mquickdo
    2. You either need to repair the Home Flex or replace the Dock connector assembly.

I installed MQuickDo and all was well, but something else went wrong.

I held the lock button to turn off my phone and then it just froze and the screen went black. The lock button doesn't bring it to the "slide-to-unlock" screen but instead brings it to the "slide to power off screen". I can't slide it over; it acts frozen. I can still get texts and calls, but I can't answer the calls.

I'm thinking about just waiting for the battery to go out, but that's going to take a long time. is there anyway I can manually respring it or turn it off?

Why would you ever turn your iphone off? Just curious.
