    All the time.
    The phone is responsive,
because i can unlock it, by knowing where the slider would normally be. And it makes the click sound, I can listen to music,
    and everything else.

    But the screen is white,
    with black bars.

    i tried restoring,
    did nothing.

    Is this DEFINATLY,
    a hardware problem?

and is there anything I can do to fix it besides order another $50 screen?

    EDIT:

If i shake it, more black bars appear

Hi! this is definitly a hardware problem and I'm my opinion it seems like a broken LCD flex. Therefore, you need the replace the LCD (not the whole assembly since your digitizer works fine, only the LCD). Since you dont seem to be used to reparing phones/ipods you should look on craiglist for a local iphone repair shop/technician and he should do it for ~80$. You better spend 80$ to have it done by someone who knows what he's doing that killing your iphone by damaging a connector on the motherboard while trying to do it yourself to save 50$... If you're still under warranty just bring it to apple and they will give you another one.
