Alright, so my iPhone 3G, the other day just decided it doesn't feel like turning on.
I've had a bit of experience in looking around so I opened it up and check all the connection were good/clean then put it back together. Anyway, nothing for days and days.
I decide to plug it into my (Logitech) Alarm Clock and it makes a sort of "buzzing/clicking" sound for a while, I assume it's connecting to something but not getting any audio, the Alarm clock also realises that the phone is there because it allows me to select "iPod" as the input, its worked on this Alarm Clock for a long time.

Anyway, cut to about a day and a half after that (constantly plugged into alarm). The phone miraculously boots up but doesn't quite "boot" all the way. It gets to the "flat battery, CHAARRRGGEE MEEEE" screen and won't charge, doesn't even realise it can be charging. So, I unplug it, and bam, there it goes again, plug it back in, nothing but the clicking...

I'd try a hard reset but the power button/entire mechanism is broke, therefor, no DFU mode or hard reset. It's currently sitting plugged into our Windows 7 Desktop and I'll leave it there in the hope that it switches on again and hopefully the computer recognises it so I can restore. The computer doesn't even recognise it's plugged in right now, nor does my mac.

Any help is appreciated. Think I might need to replace that power button mechanism at some point =/

    Thanks again.
