My headphone jack on my iPhone 3GS started acting funky today. It only plays out of the left channel unless I hold it down or mess with it a little bit. Getting quite annoying as I can't keep it in my pcoket now without a trance breakdown going down in my right ear from all of the cutting that's going on.

Sucks that I just bought a pair of sick headphones too.

But anyways, is there any solution for this? Or am I stuck with buying a new headphone jack?

Sounds like a contact issue. You could take it apart and try to make the connection a little tighter, or you could just replace it.

How would I make it tighter? Solder that thing together or...?

You might just be able to squeeze the contacts together. Any iphone repair place should be able to take care of you pretty cheaply.

The only iPhone repair places in Miami rip you the hell off. I just looked up the closet one to me and it was $70 to repair a headphone jack.
