Your phone goes back to stock factory settings.
    No.
Nothing, you get your backup restored.
    The jailbreak will remain.

It was a fluke, you or the JB did something wrong.

    You should restore and reJB.

because on a tutorial that i found in the internet, it said that make a backup of ur phone before u jailbreak, in order to keep ur apps and al of that stuff after the jailbreak

You would want to jailbreak again whenever you restore or upgrade your device. Unless you use a custom firmware, wherein it is a simultaneous restore/upgrade and jailbreak. Either way, a jailbreak has to be applied again.

You keep your stuff by backing them up. Transfer purchases, sync, create a backup in iTunes. Jailbreak apps/tweaks can be backed up with PkgBackUp or other backup packages provided in Cydia. iTunes will not back JB items up. The reliability of the backup packages in Cydia are questionable in some instance, expect to have to reinstall your jailbreak items regardless.

so it the jailbreak should remain after restoring from a backup?
It should, assuming everything went well.

    ow ok thanks
so right now i have to jailbreak, and if i wanted to restore from backup i have to use some cydia packages instead of itunes?

and one more thing, how to i unlock my phone, to get other SIM cards to work with it?

No, if you restore from backup that's that. Cydia packages like PkgBackUp backs up your prior Cydia tweaks if you chose to back them up before restoring/upgrading.

You need to use iTunes to create and/or restore from backup.

Unlocking is entirely dependent on your baseband version and your device model. That general question cannot be answered without that info.

Why? Just restore from backup? It shouldn't be a problem. If you're really set on jailbreaking first, then set it up as new. Then after you jailbreak it, you can go to iTunes and select to restore from a backup.

No it won't. Restoring from backup isn't the same thing as a factory restore.

No problem. What's the baseband? I am assuming since you're on 5.1.1 you also updated the baseband...you likely can't unlock it. But you can check anyway...it's in your settings under general, about, modem firmware

Unlock iPhone, Official iPhone Unlock, Apple iTunes Unlock
what do u mean unless the carrier do it?

and can't i just wait until someone make the unlocking possible for this baseband
like a new software , or an upgraded one?

and what is the latest baseband that can be unlocked?

and how can it be unlocked? like is there a software that does it?

No software. No chip. No unlock except an official unlock and that probably won't change anytime soon. Your only options are calling the carrier the phone is locked to and ask them if they will do it or try that website to see if they can get it done.

    i know
im asking that what is the latest baseband that CAN be unlocked currently?

lets just assume i had an older base band, that could be unlocked without that website and that kinds of stuff, lets say that i my self wanted to unlock it personally, how can that be done?
