Newbie to Mac and it seems in order to program Iphone you really need a Mac.

Since I have no idea what to look for, what is the basic Mac I would need to program my Iphone?

Friend has an Imac willing to sell to me cheap!

    Would this work?

    Thanks From a newbie

Thanks for the reply as I have only run Microsucks and have always wanted to try a Mac but did not know where to begin!
If everything works out I may go Mac all the way anything has got to be better the Vista!

    Thanks again

Start off with the iMac to try it out. It takes a little time to make the transition but its worth it

First I would like to say thanks for you reply!

A lot of the time people don't want to help Newbies!

I had and extra hard drive for my HP laptop and loaded Mac os on it and seems to be working good!

But you are right as for as the transition as I started off in North America and ended up in China after the installation!

    Wow this is totally different!

If this works out I will change from Microsucks to the Mac.

I have been with Microsucks since Windows 3.1 and it seems that they only want to sell the next version of windows! There product has went downhill ever since.

I have Vista on computers now and it will not update and Internet Explorer crashes everytime I close a web page!

    It just plain ole sucks!

Enough venting and thanks for the reply as I will have to go out and buy Mac for Dummies book now!

    Thanks From

You will love OSX once you get the hang of it. But you cant really compare to Vista which was a total fail. Windows 7 should be much better.....but I enjoy/will always run Mac.

i hated the fact that you can only run the sdk on an apple product. not because i'm a big windows fan, but because in order for you to run the iphone sdk you need an intel mac and OS X Leopard 10.5.5 or above which i didn't have. for more info check here http://tinleyharrier.blogspot.com/20...uirements.html
