Nice! But y eee pad? I 1st thought it was a new apple product. Y shouldn't they give it an original name. Looks like an ipad replica to me. The name makes this product cheaper than wut it already is.
The name is a borderline ripoff; I'm fairly certain that "eeePad" is phonetically identical to iPad in spanish and several other languages.
Just so you know...ASUS has a family of EEE products. It makes sense to call it the EEEpad.

I sure Apple will just sue them

I wish I had a miniature elephant that fit in the palm of my hand. I would pick him up and he'd lift up his trunk and stand on his back legs and say PRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPHHHHHHHH and I would say yes little elephant i love you too.

lol at calling it vaporware and a chop, then getting called out and then still standing to your original stance. The picture is identical to the prototype in the video, can't see how it's a chop. Why can't people just admit they jumped the gun on calling BS?

All professional photos are Photoshopped in some way. That picture was photoshopped to get the glare out. Do not underestimate Asus. They make great devices. I love my Rampage III Extreme.

The name ipad was stolen from fujitsu(since 2002).The name iphone was stolen from cisco(2000). Why do people think just because Apple names something they were the first to do so. Apple will sue over anything and they will steal as they like. Such B.S. NOW,WHO STOLE WHAT?

I'm wondering how would this table look running Android?

@cypherpunk: In Spanish, eeePad would sound something like eh-pad, very far from the English pronunciation of iPad. When read in Spanish, "aiPad" would be a better phonetic representation.

Who cares about the name, as consumers? all i care about is it's hardware and functionality. I love the concept of a laptop/netbook/pad. It's exactly what i'd buy before i buy the ipad. Maybe the keyboard harbors some other hardware we're not aware of. Extra USB port maybe. I hope they make this, very good idea.

Honestly, I have to say that I like the eeePad better. It may look very similar but I like it better.

I just think that a device running windows or even snow leopard would make for a better all rounder.

Products that go after the iPad are not going to be better if they have to even copy the name. Geeze why don't some over companies try to be creative for once.
you do know apple stole the ipad name from an older pda company from the 80's/90's and it was actually an exact theft they had a device named "ipad" and apple had to buy the copyright to produce the device mmi even did an article about it so everyone stop complaining about the name stealing

This is not a possibility yet. The power efficient technology does not exist to do this cost effectively yet. Windows 7 and Snow Leopard take an enormous amount of processing power and RAM to run effectively compared to what is currently available in tablet (or mythical tablet) devices. Keep dreaming.
