To those complaining that there are other things out there that still need research, you clearly don't know how research and funding works. Hell, if your argument is that we needs a cure for AIDS before we need an answer about stress and touch screen devices, my counter argument is that we also need a cure for AIDS before we need a newer iPhone. In other words the argument is ridiculous. "Let's not do any sort of research on anything until the issues on AIDS and cancer are resolved".

Study was surely done by some out-of-shape moron, who sits behind a computer 24/7 in his parents basement, 100 pounds overweight, cholesterol levels through the roof, with a face full of acne... complaining about the stress levels of something that he doesn't have the coin to purchase, much less any idea of what to do with it, other than use it as a new gameboy.
Yes, the million dollar study was surely done by this guy...

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

Working on a story? How about their website? It's been running real slow lately.

    Arizona.

    Enough said.
What does that have to do with it.

I could see how use of touchscreen devices over long periods of time especially the iPad could case some damage to your body.

Ever lay down on your stomach and watch a movie on your iPad? Think about how your neck is positioned for 1.5 hrs. Now multiply that by how many movies you watch, how much you surf the web, etc etc.

All the research is doing is making light of what could become hazardous over time. 20 years ago, there was no ergonomics. Now, you can't get a white collared job without doing through a class on it and people look for chairs, desks, mouse and keyboard pads to relieve the unnecessary stress on your body just from sitting and typing at your desk.

I would rather know about possible risks, as small as they might seem and avoid pain than to wind up like Quasimodo.

    Just me two cents.

What a load of bull. My hands hurt more when using a bad mouse, but never hurt when using iPhone or iPad.

But what about books? Available for centuries and used in the same way as an iPad? Most text books are comparable in weight, if not heavier.
