    Awesome! Dimensions are now broken.
Asking for help is different from being stupid. Fanboys can rot in @#$%!

You only have to worry about Apple signing FW for the 3GS and iP4, not the 3G. You can use Spirit or Redsn0w to JB, or revert to 3.1.2 and use blackra1n and just reinstall ultrasn0w for your unlock.
Say you stupidly updated to 4.1 on your 3G and need an unlock. Dowgrading won't affect your baseband right? Is there a way to get the baseband down?

Fuzzyband at least used to work for iPhone and iPhone 3G but I am uninformed as to it's current status.

I'm eager to see what a jail broken Apple tV will be able to do.

I don't believe so. I have yet to encounter a program that will allow the baseband to be downgraded on a 3G previously or currently running iOS4.

Umm... I'm confused. I have an iphone 4 running 4.1 that I bought in the states on AT&T - I'm back in the UK and obivously still want to use my iphone and throw away my blackberry.

Will this Pwnagetool be able to carrier unlock my phone and jailbreak it?

Pwnagetool only preserves the baseband, it does not perform the unlock itself. Unless you used TU and kept your bb at 1.59.00 when updating to 4.1, there is no unlock for you currently. There should be one for you once iOS 4.2 drops next month, but nothing is certain as of yet.
