With rumors about the new Apple iPad mini reaching fever pitch this week, we are beginning to hear rumblings about production of the new device commencing in Brazil.

Apple and its manufacturing partner Foxconn have placed no shortage of resources into Brazil and making its South American production output as strong as possible. If the latest suspicion is proven correct, the iPad mini will likely represent Apple's biggest production run out of Brazil.

Sources tell Japanese news blog Macotakara that iPad mini production started in September. There is no indication at this time that Foxconn's Chinese facilities have been used for the same purpose. It should be noted, however, that the Macotakara report did not specifically reference Foxconn, but Apple's production facilities in Brazil at this time are mostly limited to Foxconn and it's operations.

As MMi reported Monday morning, Apple will start sending invitations to its next press event on October 10th. The release of the iPad mini will most likely take place before the end of October.

Apple "Stop copying us!" So what do they do, they mock the 7" form factor and turn around and start making one. Suck a joke of a company.

Since the Ipod and iPad both run the same iOS, I'd say we already have the iPad Mini (iPod Touch), and since Tim Cook claimed that Apple had no plans of releasing the rumored iPad Mini/Nano, maybe we will get a bigger iPod Touch.... 6 of one Have a dozen of the other.

Seeing a need and a market equates to products. Copying a design is something different. Quit trolling as I'm sure your droid needs to be charged anyhow.

I'm still skeptical on this .. They have a huge market share already why mess with success

And now they don't even put "report" or a "?" in the title of news stories u can't verify
