When iOS 7 Beta was initially seeded to developers the day of the WWDC 2013 keynote, the software only supported the iPhone and iPod touch; support for the iPad was to come soon whatever the reasoning behind that. It's possible that after having been rushed through a major design and feature overhaul Apple was a little behind.

As of Monday afternoon’s seed of iOS 7 Beta 2, Apple's mobile tablets are now supported by iOS 7 beta. Support extends whether the iPad is a Wi-Fi model or a Wi-Fi and cellular model; the iPad 2, iPad with retina display (3rd and 4th generation), and iPad Mini can now run the beta software.

iOS 7 adds many new features, most of which are easily usable right from the multiple iPad models like on the iPhone or iPod touch, but the larger canvas really adds to the enjoyability of the aesthetics in the new interfaces, which are a major part of the upcoming software update.

iOS 7 Beta is currently only available for developers and the software will be released to the public some time in the Fall.

messages works for me. I am on an iPad 4. One thing I notice is the icon for Chrome is all messed up. It's fine while chrome is installing but as soon as it is done it goes white for some reason. No other apps I have installed are doing this. The status bar doesn't seem to have the issues that the iPhone is now having on beta 2.

I just installed on my ipad mini and have the status bar locked in landscape and portrait mode...also a bit more lag than I expected. I installed ios7 on an old iphone 4 and it runs like poo.

Anyone else notice that the background used for the folder is rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise? Its driving me crazy lol. It's not like that in my iPhone though.

The reminders app on the iPad looks fantastic. It's very clean and I love how the wallpaper shows through the app. They should make the notes app look that same way because right now it is almost impossible to see the icons and read some of the text in notes since it is yellow text on a white background.
