On Wednesday, Yahoo! released an update for its application on the iOS platform that brought the application up to version 5.0.0 in the iOS App Store.

Version 5.0.0 brings with it native iPad support for the application. Until today, the application has only supported the iPhone and iPod touch, but with the native support, iPad users can now take advantage of a much larger canvas space that fills the entire display with rich content.

Other improvements in this update are for not only iPad users, but iPhone and iPod touch users too these improvements include integration with digital online magazines that you will be able to view from the application, as well as the addition of a slew of new informative "snapshots" for weather, stocks, news, popular photos, and sports.

Existing users of the Yahoo! application will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. If you're new to the application, or you would like to download it on your iPad, you can download the Yahoo! application for free from this App Store link.
