The new 12.9-inch iPad Pro is Apple's latest tablet computer, and as benchmarks show, it's quite the processing beast in terms of its CPU and its GPU. Apple foresees the tablet being used by professionals on the go who want to multitask with suite software, whether it's Microsoft Office, Adobe photo and video manipulation software, or even Apple's own iWork or iLife software.

For that reason, as first pointed out by the folks over at iFixit, Apple appears to have built in a USB 3.0 controller in the new iPad Pro, suggesting that Apple may soon release an accessory or upgraded Lightning cable capable of transferring media to or from the iPad Pro with a Mac or Windows computer.

Currently, the iPad Pro transfers information at USB 2.0 speeds, so it's unknown if Apple plans to take advantage of the feature in the near future, or if it will be unlocked at a later date with upgraded adapters and/or accessories. USB 3.0 can be anywhere from 2x-20x faster than traditional USB 2.0, and all modern Macs come with USB 3.0 ports.

The speed bump will make transferring large video files, or huge photographs much faster, and allow professionals to get on the go much quicker without having to wait for slow computer syncing.
