I wonder if there is anyway to create a program, or add to one in Safari that when you touch, hold down for a full second, it gives you a menu to download that file your trying to download to a folder you choose.

Kind of like "right click, save as" in Windows.

I think this would open up a world of options for us.

Take for example. Everytime you visit SeeQPod.com and browse through songs. These songs can be directly downloaded by using right click save as.

    Any ideas from you devs?

That would be amazing. I would also love a copy feature for text along those same lines.

Yeah I'm still patiently waiting for a Safari plugin that offers file saving and copy/paste.

I'm patiently waiting for this, so I can launch a iPhone formatted site for downloading cd quality albums and songs on our servers.

How about a ftp server native app for our Iphones. This would probily be the best way to download songs and so on from iphonemp3s. Also this way you will have full control of who can and can not.

Well I have had a couple people approach me about interested in creating the itunes like free music app. Everyone has pretty much convinced me its the best way to go and its possible to get it directly into the iPod which was a big thing to think about in deciding what sort of way to go about the site.

If we had a way to save files in Safari, we could just use sites like seeqpod to save them directly to our iPod's library. As well as get other shit into out Photo libraries, etc.

From what I have been learning, it isn't that cut and dry. Even if you had a download function for safari, its another story to get it into the ipod and in the correct way. App seems the best way to go.

Soon I'll have access wherever I am to servers full of free cd quality albums
