ok, so we can all run servers using WiFi, but this method described in below links allows you to forward ANY server protocol through 3G/Edge internet/IP's. Meaning... you can access your iphone hosted servers no matter where your iphone goes (including if it gets stolen)... ssh/http/VNC are probably the most useful if your phone gets stolen or lost.

The links below demonstrate the use of an ssh home server forwarding a vnc server connection from iphone, allowing the user to CONTROL his iphone no matter where it goes or who has it... its still in the dev mode... and wont be complete with/out an app or some sort of process giving the reverse tunnel command every time the iphone reboots or changes IP's.

But please let me know if you can help further it, including if you know how to implement a terminal command to the iphone's start up.

Yes, you can run a server on the iPhone's 3G/Edge and access it via an ssh home server (through ssh you can forward any protocol via localhost)... here is how... please follow my iphone links:

UPDATE: Veency now has a password implication within the "preferences", so now all we need is to automate reverse ssh commands at iphone bootup and change of IP.
