just wondering, with all the awesome stuff for the iPod Touch, if BlueTooth is possible on 2.2.1? I cant upgrade to 3.0 (or higher) because my internet is down ATM, but i tried SweetTooth (a Cydia app) and the bluetooth logo appeared on the status bar, but other than that, there were no sign's of BT being available (i also checked "settings>general" but it wasnt there. Could there maybe be a certain file i need to stick in the raw file system? If so, then i can do that.

Bluetooth has always been possible on any firmware to use hands free devices. On 3G and 3GS iPhones the bluetooth upgrades include connection to other hardware devices for gaming or streaming music. What exactly are you trying to do? I don't think anything out there will allow 3rd party file sharing over bluetooth.

i want the same kind of bluetooth that 3.0 has, you know? I mean like being able to send pictures, apps, and other stuff to other iPod's.

I think you just answered your own question. "I have 2.2.1 but want bluetooth features of 3.0." Apps that use these new features require at least the 3.0 firmware anyways so yes you have to upgrade.

Oh yeah. Boy im an idiot lol. Meh ill just pay the darn $6 for 3.0. I heard my parents talking about re-activating our broadband this month.

I also have a non-3.0 related question: is there a way to disable the little music widget that pops up when yo double-tap the home button? It annoys the fudge out of me. Any help or hints are appriciated :S.
