Apart from this, its one of the best apps I've come across. The only other thing I would want is to be able to access the videos from the iPod app.
You can do that. Just ssh or whatever to find the files in private/var/mobile/media/MxTube and then drag the files onto you computer.
Then sync with itunes. Thats what i have been doing.

Does anyone know where the actual downloaded videos are saved? I would like to move the file so it appears in Itunes video or download it to my pc

Interesting download. Works great with 1.1.1 but I was hoping it would play flv files so I could use it as a native player

Downloaded it a few hours ago. All my videos stop at about 3/4 the way through, no matter the length. Going to uninstall and reinstall and try again.

EDIT: Still have the same problems. Anyone know a fix?

If you are having the common problems of downloads ending prematurely, this fix worked for me :-

ssh into your iPod and change the permissions of /private/var/mobile/Media/MxTube to 0777.

here's the thing about this App...you can download any video in Wifi quality or Edge quality no matter what internet source ur using on your iPhone...(wifi or edge)...however when you play the video if ur on Edge you can only watch the Edge formatted video or if you're on Wifi u can watch both...if you try to watch the Wifi quality video while on edge it will play for only a few seconds (unless the video is very short...i have a few Jordan commercials that last 1:00 and they play all the way thru)...if youre searching a video and it crashes its becuz its loading more than 75 items as this IS a known bug and is currently being worked on...and for large video downloading crashes that is also a known bug as well as downloads finishing prematurely and have playback issues....

    Coming Soon...
    Bug fixes...

    "Play in YouTube" button
iPod app + iTunes sync (maybe)

I can watch my Wifi-quality videos while on the edge network with no problem...

    FYI:
I just re installed mxtube on my ifone after upgrading to 2.0.1 I just want to let people know that the 2.0 firmware doesn't let me use the official Apple Audio Video cables to watch videos from mxtube.
So now the only way to use these cables to watch videos is if you upload your video thru iTunes.
Maybe in the future there'll be a fix to watch videos again using MXtube.

iPhone/iPod touch only: The MXTube application searches and saves YouTube videos directly to your iPhone or iPod touch so you can play them back at any time, whether you've got an active internet connection or not. I gave it a try this morning and it works exactly as advertised and looks great. The only drawback is that it doesn't integrate with your iPod videos, but given time, I suppose anything's possible.

I'd try to search for the original MXtube, then SSH-it back into the phone.
