Just hope it doesn't kill my battery. Though two bucks seems a little steep, but the ability to track my phone if I lost it might be worth it..

It won't kill your battery. Testing reveals very little drain on battery. I didn't notice a difference over the course of my daily use.

I used Rockapp once and it messed up my 3G until I did a total restore too, and this was before I did a backup so I lost a considerable amount of data!...I'm never touching Rockapp again with a barge pole!!

Let me know when it's available in Cydia, I might just try it.

    Anecdotal ********! You're a troll.

No problems with RockApp it's been solid for me. I hope this doesn't use up too much memory after install. Does anyone know?

What does that mean? I did decide not to be an ***. I wrote something, read your post, and decided that being an *** was not worth an infraction. I could have decided to not edit my post and just let you give me an infraction.

you're right, the time we put into research and development isn't worth anything. we're going to call all of our creditors and tell them that everything we buy should be free. then, we won't need the income, and we can make this app free.

oh if only the world worked the way you see it.

Installed the trial, and I must say, I'm glad someone decided to do something that crapple wouldn't let google do with their native latitude app. Keep up the good work. Two dollars on the way after the trial expires.
On a side note, I too had issues with Rock. I had installed it on my 3G which had Cydia already installed and they didn't seem to play well together so I uninstalled it. After upgrading to 3.1.2 and jailbreaking with blackra1n, I decided to give Rock another try WITHOUT Cydia, and what a world of difference that made!! Rock is a much lighter, faster, and user-friendly apt front end than Cydia, and am glad I made the switch.

Downloaded this yesterday from Cydia. Hasn't updated the first time yet. I had it set to 60 min's. Now 5. Nothing.

I have Latitude installed on my iGoogle page and can see the changes when I go into the web app for Latitude and manually update.

Would love to see this working, but for me, nothing.

    Suggestions?

    EDIT: reinstalled and it's working.

Keep in mind that Google Latitude's settings on their page allow you to pick which one of your Latitude friends sees what level of accuracy. I let most my friends see the highest level of accuracy, while others I pull it out a little bit and they just city what city I'm currently in.

Also, a neat feature of Longitude is that it submits a far more accurate location to Google Latitude than their web app does.

Did you download the trial version with the Rock app? If so, does anyone know when the full app will be avail. in cydia? Without the Rock app extra?

No, I grabbed it from Cydia. Not sure if it's the full app or not, but it has the settings and updates latitude, so I don't know what else it would have.

The full app you have to pay for - the trial will expire and also installs all the Rock sh!t which still excludes lots of us from trying it.

The full and "trial" apps are the same app, same functionality. The difference is exclusively the fact that the trial only functions for 10 days.

So the full app still needs Rock?
Not something I am interest in at all then, I might have fored out a couple of bucks to try it but not if it involves Rock.

The trial version IS the full version. Simply put, there are no versions. Just licensing checks. Time-restricted, that is.

Yes, right now it's Rock only. Yes, it's coming to Cydia without requiring the installation of Rock.

If you weren't so damn anti-Rock, you'd realize that one of the many great features of Rock is that they give you a 10-day trial of every app in their store. Point being: you don't have to fork out a couple bucks to try it. You get 10 days to try it for free!
